2026-27 Charles Johnson Jr. Memorial Scholarship Recipients Honored at Luncheon Hosted by Benefit Funds

On Thursday, June 11, the NYCDCC Welfare Fund Board of Trustees, together with Fund Office leadership, honored the twenty-five recipients of the 2026–27 Charles Johnson Jr. Memorial Scholarship at a luncheon in Manhattan. Each year, the Welfare Fund’s Scholarship Program provides educational assistance to eligible dependents of Fund participants. More information about the Scholarship Program is available HERE.
This year’s luncheon celebrated the recipients’ impressive accomplishments, including their commitment to academic excellence, community service, leadership, and extracurricular involvement. Fund Office Executive Director Olivia Cuggy, along with Board of Trustees Co-Chairs Paul Capurso and David Meberg, offered remarks recognizing the students’ achievements and encouraging them as they begin the next chapter of their educational journeys.
In addition to honoring these outstanding students, the event highlighted the Benefit Funds’ ongoing commitment to supporting members and their families through educational opportunities and programs that help foster future success.
