It has come to our attention that some NYCDCC members who have been out of work long enough to qualify for Unemployment Insurance (Click HERE to check New York State qualifications) have been listing the NYCDCC Benefit Funds as their last employer when filling out the application. This is NOT correct.
To fill out the Unemployment Insurance application properly, you must list the last employer for whom you worked. The NYCDCC Benefit Funds is not your employer. If you list the NYCDCC Benefit Funds as your last employer, the processing of your unemployment claim will be delayed.
If you have any questions regarding Unemployment Insurance, you should contact the New York State Department of Labor directly by calling (888) 209-8124, or by visiting the FAQ section of its website at https://labor.ny.gov/ui/faq.shtm.
