Attention City Carpenters: Receive your HRA Benefit Reimbursement via Direct Deposit

The New York City District Council of Carpenters (“NYCDCC”) Benefit Funds is pleased to announce that City members can now have their benefit reimbursement deposited into their bank account by enrolling in Direct Deposit on the asonet.com member portal.

The Benefits of using Direct Deposit

• Speeds payment by eliminating delays in the mail
• Ensures delivery by eliminating the possibility of the check being lost in the mail
• Improves security by eliminating the growing risk of mail theft

Enrollment

• Create an account on asonet.com (if you have not already done so)
• Log into asonet.com portal as a member
• Click “Add/Update Direct Deposit”
• Enter your banking account information
• Select “Pay Benefits via Direct Deposit”

How it Works

• Instead of a check being mailed, your money will be deposited directly into your bank account
• You will receive an email notification when a deposit has been made
• Log into asonet.com to view your explanation of benefits

Security

• Only you can enter and update your banking information
• Recommended: Enable Two-Factor Authentication on your asonet.com account to secure this and other private information

Please note that this function is completely voluntary. Receipt of paper checks through the postal service will still be available. If you would like to continue receiving checks, you do not need to take any action. That will continue to be the default option. If you do enroll in the direct deposit option, you can deactivate it at any time.
