– 1 in 6 breast cancers occurs in women ages 40-49.
– 3 out of 4 women who are diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history of the disease and are not considered a high risk for developing it.
– Mammography has helped reduce breast cancer mortality in the United States by 40%.
