Important Security Update for Independence Administrators Member Portal Users

To keep your account safe, Independence Administrators (“IBX”), the NYCDCC Welfare Fund’s medical and hospital benefit provider for active and pre-retiree members/dependents, is adding a new security step.

When you log in, you’ll need to enter a six-digit multi-factor authentication (“MFA”) code that they will send to your registered email. To ensure you receive the code, make sure you can get emails from IBX (check that your email service allows messages from IBX).

You’ll need this code when:

-You log in for the first time after April 27, 2026

-You log in after clearing your browser history

-You use a different computer or device
