Now that the warm weather is finally upon us, there’s no better time to start getting into shape and developing an exercise routine than right now. We know that many of you will say, “I want to, but there’s just not enough time in the day.” We also know that many of you have hectic schedules and a never ending list of things to do… but it’s time to put yourself on that list and make fitness a priority.
Exercise not only improves physical fitness, but it also improves your overall health and well-being. Exercise aids in weight loss and maintaining weight, combats health conditions and diseases, improves mood (who doesn’t want to feel happier and more relaxed), boosts energy, promotes better sleep, and it can also help put that special spark back in your relationship. And the best part of it all is… you can achieve all these benefits with just 30 minutes of exercise per day (or 60 minutes per day for adolescents). With that being said, you should also keep in mind that exercise doesn’t have to be boring or feel like a chore. There are a variety of different ways you can reach that goal of 30 minutes of exercise per day without feeling tortured.
Lacing up your sneakers, grabbing a friend, and going for a walk on your lunch hour, spending some quality time with your significant other and going for a bike ride after dinner, or maybe even playing a sport with your kid(s) are just some of your many options. Remember, engaging your whole family is not only a great way to get everyone involved in physical fitness, but it’s also a great way to connect and bond with them too.
Physical fitness can be the key to a less stressed, better looking, and better feeling you, so get started TODAY and make it happen!
