New Chip-Enabled & Contactless rapid! Paycards to be Mailed to Eligible Members this Month

Please be advised that in the coming weeks, NYCDCC members who currently receive vacation or pension payments via rapid! Paycard will be mailed a new and updated card. This new, chip-enabled card features “Tap-to-Pay” convenience, providing members quicker and more secure transactions.

If you currently receive vacation or pension payments through direct deposit, you will not receive a card in the mail, as this change only applies to members who receive vacation or pension payments via rapid! Paycard.

Please note that this change will not affect your vacation or pension payment(s) through the NYCDCC Vacation or Pension Plan.

**Upon receiving the chip-enabled card, members will need to activate the new card and create a new PIN. The balance will automatically transfer upon activation of the new card.

Members can activate their new card and create a new PIN in one of two ways:

– Adding the new card in the rapid! Paycard mobile app; or
– Calling the number on the back of the new card and following the IVR instructions.
