NEW: Information Regarding Dependent Eligibility Audit Being Conducted by BMI on Behalf of the NYCDCC Welfare Fund

In February, the Fund Office notified you via our website, newsletter, social media pages, and email system, that the New York City District Council of Carpenters Welfare Fund (the “Fund”) had contracted with BMI Audit Services, LLC (“BMI”) to perform an audit of dependent(s) enrolled in its plan beginning sometime in April. The audit is now set to begin.
Over the coming days, members who are eligible in the Welfare Fund and also have dependent(s) on file receiving coverage, will be sent an audit packet from BMI that will require you to fill out forms and submit documentation to the company. A failure to properly complete this audit on behalf of your dependent(s) in the time period designated by BMI and agreed upon by the Fund Office, will result in your dependent(s) eventually being removed from coverage. Please note that the completion of this audit on behalf of your dependent(s) is NOT optional. For more helpful information about this audit, please see below.
