REMINDER: How to Check your Welfare Hours and Eligibility Using the Member Login Portal (i-Site) and the Interactive Voice Response (“IVR”) System

As we are nearing the end of the year and the quarter, we wanted to provide you with a quick reminder on how you can easily check your Welfare hours and eligibility through the Member Login Portal (i-Site) of the Benefit Funds’ website and/or the Interactive Voice Response (“IVR”) System. To assist you, please follow the below step-by-step processes.
Instructions for Checking Welfare Hours and Eligibility through the Member Login Portal (i-Site)
- Go to www.nyccbf.org.
- Click the “Member Login” button located on the top right corner of the screen.
- Log into the website using your Username (UBC #) and Password. (Please note, if logging in with a temporary password, you will be directed to the Registration Page where you will be prompted to enter your temporary password in the current password field, followed by your new password in the new password field.)
- Check the box agreeing to the terms of the website and click “Continue.”
- After you agree to the website terms, select the “View Active Welfare Eligibility” option and click “Continue.”
- Upon entering the “View Active Welfare Eligibility” page, you will be presented with a chart (pictured below) that contains the following fields: Eligible From, Eligible Through, Status, Start Bank, Hours Used, Bank Balance, Hours Worked, Next Bank, and Buy-in Hours.
- Using this chart, you will then be able to see your Welfare eligibility status and hours by date.
Instructions for Checking Welfare Hours and Eligibility through the IVR System
- Call the NYCDCC Benefit Funds’ Office by dialing 1-800-529-FUND or 212-366-7300.
- Press 1 to access the IVR.
- Press 1 to hear settings in English. Press 2 to hear settings in Spanish.
- The system will greet you and prompt you to enter your UBC Number and pin. Enter your 8 digit UBC number. Enter your pin number then the pound key- *Note this is the same as the password used for our Member Portal. Follow the prompts for entering numbers and alpha characters. When finished the system will read the Pin that has been entered. If it is correct press 1.
- You will Be brought to the Options Menu.
- Press 1 to inquire about Hours Worked.
- Press 2 to inquire about Welfare Eligibility.
