REMINDER: Independence Administrators ID Cards to Arrive Before New Year for January 1, 2023 Effective Date

Just a reminder that, in preparation for the NYCDCC Welfare Fund’s third-party administrator change from Empire BlueCross BlueShield (“Empire”) to Independence Administrators (“IA”), your new ID cards have already been mailed and should arrive at your respective homes prior to the new year. Please remember that effective January 1, 2023 you should begin using your IA cards only and discard all Empire related cards/materials. 

If you have not received your new ID cards by January 1, 2023, and you are eligible for coverage under the Welfare Fund, please contact our Member Services Department at (800) 529-3863 (FUND).
